Reconnecting – StFX Terry Fox Humanitarian Atlantic award winners share moment together
On March 22, 2025, a gathering called the TFHA Alumni (Re)Connect Tour was held in Halifax, NS to bring together current and past recipients of the Terry Fox Humanitarian Award from across Atlantic Canada. Vatican Visit
Olivia (Gallant) Liboiron ‘05 ‘07 had booked a trip to Rome for the canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis, but it was rescheduled due to the death of Pope Francis. She decided to go to Rome anyway. She says she woke up at 5 a.m. and made her way to St. Peter’s Square for the Pope’s funeral. She snapped a photo of her X-Ring while there.
1921 People’s School – Can you help us name the people in our history?
Dr. Robin Neustaeter, an assistant professor in the StFX Adult Education Department, is looking for assistance from alumni and friends. Dr. Neustaeter is looking to help match faces to names in the photo below from the 1921 People’s School, snapped in the winter outside Xavier Hall. Some faces are easily recognizable such as those of Father Jimmy Tompkins and Hugh ‘Doc’ MacPherson.
Fortunately, to help with the task, the names of the participants are listed in both the January 27, 1921 issue of The Casket, and the 1921-1922 StFX Academic Calendar (see below).
If you can identify any of these individuals pictured, please reach out to Dr. Neustaeter at @email. We appreciate your support in this. It will help the StFX Archives and StFX history!

We lovingly remember these Xaverians who are no longer with us.
