About Master of Education
The Master of Education program is grounded in two main purposes:
(a) to provide a space for you to understand your professional knowledge; and
(b) to make meaningful links between this knowledge and the conceptual and theoretical framework of educational research.
Program at a glance
StFX offers an online Master of Education in Administration & Policy and a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction. There are three options by which you may complete the requirements for the MEd degree: a course-based route, a project route, or a thesis route. The degree fulfills the requirements of the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development for an increase in level of teacher certification.
