General Bursaries 2023-2024

These awards are available to part-time and full-time students enrolled in a diploma or degree program at StFX. Applicants must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need.

Round 1 – Awarded

Application Open Date: noon on October 3, 2023 
Application Due Date: 10 pm ADT on October 17, 2023 
Award Value: up to $500 

Round 2 – Awarded

Application Open Date: noon on November 1, 2023 
Application Due Date: 10 pm AST on November 15, 2023 
Award Value: up to $500 

Round 3

Application Open Date: noon on January 16, 2024 
Application Due Date: 10 pm AST on  January 30, 2024 
Award Value: up to $500 

Round 4

Application Open Date: noon on February 13, 2024 
Application Due Date: 10 pm AST on February 27, 2024 
Award Value: up to $500 

Application Process

• Each application round will be open for 14 days. 
• Due to the volume of applications expected, only those approved for a bursary will be notified following the closing date. 
• Applicants reporting $0 in resources for their studies will not be considered for funding. All students are expected to have come to university with a sound financial plan to address the cost of attendance. This program is meant to assist students with small gaps that may exist in their budgets, they are not meant to be used as a main source of funding for post-secondary study. 
• The Financial Aid Office will make every effort to adjudicate applications and notify recipients of awards within 10 days of the closing date. 
• All notifications will be sent to recipients' StFX email accounts.
