Arlinda Ruco
Dr. Ruco is a public health scientist and health services researcher with interests in cancer screening and prevention and occupational health and safety. Specific research interests include the development, implementation and evaluation of interventions for encouraging participation in cancer screening including social media interventions. Most recently, Dr. Ruco’s research is exploring primary care provider interventions for addressing cancer screening with marginalized patients (e.g., low-income, new immigrants, 2SLGBTQ+). Dr. Ruco’s research on occupational health and safety focuses on maximizing health and safety for home care workers including personal support workers. Lastly, Dr. Ruco also has a keen interest in building capacity for research and leadership including evaluation of leadership development programs.
