I am a graduate of Dalhousie University School of Nursing. I began my nursing career at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish. I began my nursing practice on an active adult acute medical and surgical unit. In 2000 I decided to expand my nursing knowledge and practice and began caring for clients in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Martha’s Regional hospital. In 2005, I joined the School of Nursing at Saint Francis Xavier University as a Clinical Educator. In 2015, I decided to pursue a Masters in Adult education to further enhance my development as a Nurse Educator in the School of Nursing. I value lifelong learning and with over 12 years of clinical teaching experience there is always so much more to learn, and I continue to learn everyday with my students. I believe and value student centered learning, along with students playing an active role in their own learning.
