Forensic Psychology Concentration and Applied Forensic Psychology Program
StFX offers two pathways for students interested in completing a degree with an emphasis on the field of Forensic Psychology.
The first is the Concentration in Forensic Psychology. This pathway is for students who have declared a Major or Honours (whether in the BSc or BA) in Psychology and want to specialize further by completing a concentration in Forensic Psychology. These students apply for the concentration at the end of their second year and are admitted into the concentration in their third year. If you are a student going into your third or fourth year and want to apply for the Concentration in Forensic Psychology, you must fill out the appropriate declaration form below.

The other pathway is the Program in Applied Forensic Psychology. This program is new for 2021-2022, and is a Major or Honours in Applied Forensic Psychology. This pathway is one students enrol in at admission. If you are already enrolled in the Program in Applied Forensic Psychology, you must fill out the degree declaration form for your degree program (e.g. BA with Major form or BSc with Major form). To ensure all your program requirements are included in the form, you must also complete this accompanying checklist. Submit this checklist to the Program Coordinator along with your declaration form. This checklist is not applicable to the concentration.
You cannot declare a Major or Honours in Applied Forensic Psychology once at the university. If you are already enrolled in a BA or BSc at the university, but wish to complete your Major or Honours in Applied Forensic Psychology, you must apply to transfer into the program. Information on how to do so is found here.
If you are unsure whether you should be filling out a form for a Major/Honours in Applied Forensic Psychology or one for a Concentration in Forensic Psychology, contact @email.
