StFX to close at 5:30PM today, Thursday, February 13

Due to the anticipated poor weather conditions, including freezing rain forecasted to begin around 7:00PM, please be advised that the university will close this evening at 5:30 PM, Thursday, February 13. Online classes will continue as scheduled unless notified otherwise by the professor.

Essential services will remain open (Morrison Hall, security, snow removal).

The university will resume normal operations tomorrow, Friday, February 14 at 6:00 AM unless otherwise notified.

The L'nu symbol. L’nu is a word the Mi’kmaq use to describe themselves, meaning “human being” or “the people.”

StFX is located in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaw people. The Mi'kmaw name for Antigonish is Nalikitquniejk, meaning ‘place where branches are torn off.’
