Leo MacDonald
Leo MacDonald has rejoined the Education Department at St. FX after a four year study leave at the University of Alberta. Over the past ten years, Leo has taught high school Science (grades 8-l2) in Nova Scotia and Alberta, undergraduate Physics at St. FX, and Science Methods courses for elementary and secondary pre-service teachers at St. FX and the University of Alberta.
Leo is currently a co-investigator in the Advanced Learner Project, a school based action research project supported by the Centre for Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education at the University of Alberta. Leo is also collaborating with members of the St. FX Education Department in a school based action research project which aims to enhance the integration of computers into the secondary school curriculum. During the current academic year Leo is teaching courses in secondary Science methods and assessment at the undergraduate level, and a curriculum theory course at the graduate level.
