Lisa is excited to support students as they explore business for the first time, with a focus on applying concepts to real-world challenges through participatory, inclusive, and experiential learning.
She taught for five years at NSCC’s School of Business (Pictou Campus and eCampus), delivering 24 courses in communications, entrepreneurship, management, and marketing. She has also taught Marketing and Sales for the Atlantic Trades Business Seal (ATBS), a provincial certification program for entrepreneurs in the skilled trades, and is part of the instructor pool for the Workplace Education Initiative (WEI) with Nova Scotia’s Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration (LSI).
In addition to teaching, Lisa has worked as a business consultant specializing in business planning and market research, and brings experience from the financial services sector, the hospitality industry, higher education administration, and regional business development. With a lifelong connection to small business—through her family’s enterprises and her own ventures—she brings practical insights into the classroom. Her teaching interests include entrepreneurship, governance, social enterprises, and digital marketing strategy.
