Joshua Kroker

Joshua Kroker of Lethbridge, AB graduates with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in public policy and governance and a subsidiary in political science. He’s been deeply involved at StFX, serving on societies from Catholics @ X to StFX Curling, Model United Nations to the Xaverian Progressive Conservatives; and as elected First Year representative and Board of Governors representative with the Students’ Union. 

From his first days in Burke Hall, Joshua committed to embody that “most people as either friends or future friends,” a life motto now engraved on his X-Ring. At StFX, he has worked as a research assistant, and he spent a semester abroad in France at Sciences Po Lille, with support from the Weston Family Scholarship.

Joshua will continue his studies at Carleton University in the Master’s in Public Policy and Public Administration program. His long-term goal is to work as a senior policy advisor in the Canadian Prime Minister’s Office or in constitutional law. He is honoured to represent the Class of 2025.

Violet Silva 

Violet Silva of Woodstock, NB is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Climate and Environment with honours, with double minors in studio arts and mathematics. She stayed active at StFX — giving tours of the campus, engaging in student life, studying in Japan, and seeking out new opportunities to learn within and outside the classroom. 

Violet aspires to pursue further education and will start in the Bachelor of Education program in the fall here at StFX. She feels privileged to be graduating as part of one of the largest classes in the history of the university.
