The StFX Department of English welcomes guest lecturer, Dr. Timothy Bewes on "Novelistic Figurations of Climate Change: The Case of the Chronotope."

Dr. Bewes is Owen F. Walker Professor of Humanities and Professor of English at Brown University, and the author of books including Free Indirect: The Novel in a Post-Fictional Age (Columbia UP, 2022) and The Event of Postcolonial Shame (Princeton University Press, 2011). Dr. Bewes’ influential work in literary theory will also be the subject of a symposium with StFX faculty on Friday, March 28.
