Christina Holmes
Dr. Holmes is an anthropologist of science and technology and a medical anthropologist. She has done a range of research on the social implications of biotechnology and the post-genomics sciences, including medical genetic testing, genetically modified plants, and proteomic. Her recent projects are on public health governance and the science needs and uses of small farmers.
Anthropology of science and technology, medical anthropology, and biotechnology, with current research interests in: public health, patient experience, and local agriculture and food security. Ethnographic research areas: Canada, Colombia, and Australia.
