Daphne Connolly
Ms. Connolly is a graduate of Western Memorial Regional Hospital School of Nursing (1979), earned a post graduate certificate in critical care nursing from the Victoria General Hospital (1983) and completed MN degree from University of Southern Queensland (2004). She has been working at StFX Rankin School of Nursing since 2004 in the role of Nurse Educator, and recently in a limited term academic position as Assistant Professor, until May 2018.
Ms. Connolly’s nursing practice experience has primarily been adult critical care medical surgical, and most recently the education of RNs and nursing students. She uses these attributes to increase clinical capacity in the nursing students she works with. Her teaching expertise includes pharmacology, nursing care of adults, and beginning knowledge in concept based learning. The incorporation of Simulation based learning and nursing skills assessment are a significant part of her role with nursing students. She utilizes evidence based practice and best practice guidelines in facilitating the development of nurses as a means to enhancing the health and wellness of clients.
