Biography

Dr. Everitt completed her undergraduate degree in nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan and her dietetic internship at the Moncton Hospital in New Brunswick. She began her career working as a dietitian in various practice areas in rural and remote areas and in small cities in Canada. She completed her Master's in Adult Education at St. Francis Xavier University and her PhD in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology at the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan.

Tracy’s professional and scholarly work supports sustainable food systems and healthy systems and people. Her work expands the role of sustainability in dietetic education, practice, and research and supports the development of a national school food program through research on school food and sustainable food systems in school.
