EDIA Education Reporting
Full-time AUT members are required to complete a minimum of four (4) hours of educational opportunities annually in topics related to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDIA). Topics can include but are not limited to cultural competence and/or sensitivity, harassment & discrimination, sexual violence/disclosure, and mental health first aid.
Training options include seminars, workshops and exercises, publication of peer-reviewed research with substantial EDIA content and independent reading of peer-reviewed EDIA-focused publications. More information can be found in Article 1.8: 3.0 of the Collective Agreement.
Members are required to report by October 1 for the period September 1 to August 31.
