Co-op Education
The Cooperative Education Program offers the opportunity for students at StFX to gain real work experience. Co-op Education promotes an integration of classroom and applied work-based learning. Students will have the opportunity to build their network with the industry and obtain 12-16 months of paid professional work experience.
Human Nutrition co-op students can work for employers in business, research, education, government, and not-for-profit sectors. Co-op jobs are paid between $15-24/hr depending on location, number of work terms completed, and industry. Co-op students work a minimum of 35 hrs/week for 15-16 weeks in a 4-month semester.
Co-op Requirements
A minimum average of 65% is required at the end of your second year of study, and 70% is required at the end of your third year of study to remain in the program.
