AQUA graduates find employment with government departments and agencies, in positions dealing with habitat restoration, fisheries enforcement, species research, marine protection, ocean strategy, policy and economic analysis, to name just a few.

Another employment track involves jobs with non-governmental organizations (NGO's), in fisheries, conservation, stewardship, environmental education, and community development fields. 

Still others have achieved positions in academia as tenured university faculty, research and/or project managers, in laboratories, and in the growing field of environmental education. Some graduates have opted for self-employment, as marine harvesters, ecotourism operators, and GIS drone wranglers. 

Employers are recognizing and seeking the skills and abilities that AQUA students have acquired during their education. They know that AQUA students are accustomed to viewing the world using multiple perspectives, are critical thinkers and problem-solvers, and are readily adaptable to organizational changes and challenges.
